Have you ever wanted to create a form that changes which questions to show next based on an answer received earlier in the form? The two features we launched today make that easy. First, we've added one of the most requested features for forms: page breaks. Now it is easy to create a form with multiple pages by going to "Add item" and selecting "Page break."We've also added another highly requested feature, logic branching. Once you've created a form with multiple pages, you can select "Go to page based on answer" to control the flow of your form based on the user's answers. For example, you can create a form asking the person to select their language and then direct them to a form in the correct language.
If you want to see both of these new features in action, let us know what your favorite holiday is.
Page breaks and go to page open up a whole new realm of possibilities. For example, you can create a product survey that asks a different set of questions based on whether someone has used the product before or a conference feedback form that branches off based on the session someone attended. You can even create your own interactive murder mystery or adventure using a Google form, share it with your friends and publish it in the public templates gallery. Can we auto format Page Breaks that fall on an 8 1/2 by 11 inch document with standard margins?
How do you prevent the control from passing outside the if..then...else construct ? For example , if on page 1 , the guy chooses French as his language, then control passes to Page 3. Once the questions on Page 3 are done, how do you get the control to go to the last page and submit , rather than page 4 , which is the next page after Page 3 ?
I had the same question as Ujjwal, it's a bit messy but you can do it. Create one more page right at the end which has one question on it (e.g. 'Do you want to submit this form? A: Yes B: No). Then make the last question on all of your 'branch' pages a 'go to page based on answer' question, but make ALL of the answers go to this last page. Then once they have filled in one 'branch', they will go to this last page, fill in one more question, and submit.
I agree with Kate, it's the only way to jump to last page. But I think there should be easier way to do it. Because sometimes you don't want to add a multiple choice to your 2nd page. So if you don't add a multiple choice to 2nd age the user will fill 2nd page then 3rd page then 4th page... Google should add a new item for submit button.
This is a great idea as l write a lot of correspondence and it so annoying to not have page breaks, on googledocs.

I think there needs to be a simple go to page X option.
This could be put at the end of a section when you want to branch to the end or over a group of pages.
Kate's idea would work but the person filling out the form would not know that they are ready to submit the form until they continued and the question didn't make any sense.
It is a great option but needs a little fine tuning.
I am having an issue where I did insert a new page after one of my sections and put just one multiple choice question on there that regardless of if they answered yes and no it went to the last page so they could submit it. For some reason though, it is disregarding this second set of directions of where to go. It works fine from the first question, but it just wants to keep going through all of the other pages. Any suggestions????

We *really* need better control over the flow logic than just the multiple-choice question method.
To Mr. peace re. the (unfortunately off-topic) post above: we would all like that, I suppose, but I don't think we are yet at the point of having a Google Docs "go to page based on answer" feature implemented for such momentous topics... would be nice, though!
I agree with the need for a simple "go to end" operation.
I am also having a simple formating issue...when I go to the next page on an embed form it doesn't reposition to the top.
For example: Say I embed a form that is 800px long on the first page and then the second page is just 300px. Right now if I go on to page 2 I am staring at a blank form and would have to scroll up to enter the info...which is too much to expect of the person.
My fix is similar to Kate's. Just make a multiple choice with the question like "You're Almost Done" with one choice, "Finish the survey" which goes to submit page.
Put this as last question to the page that should skip all other pages. No need to put it in other pages.
Also got formatting problem when embedding a multiple page form: only the first page is aligned correctly to frame margins, the next pages are shifted, and have a strange background color (I use plain theme which is shown correctly only on the first page).
I saved a form project but when I return, it opens in a spreadsheet. How do I continue creating the form? Tks,
A form *is* an interface to a spreadsheet. This is normal.

Select Form > Edit form from the menu at the top of your spreadsheet.
